78Don't be fooled by Supple like I was!
I've been having an increasing level of joint pain in my hands. I remember my grandmother had arthriitis, and I am afraid I am traveling down the same path.
On television a few months ago, I saw an infomercial for Supple. Supple Beverages, actually, it is called. After seeing the owner of the company "pitch" his product, I decided to try Supple to see if it would help relieve the pain in my hands. I should have known better.
My order arrived quickly enough, and so I tried it right away. OMG, it tasted awful. On the infomercial it is mentioned how "good tasting" the product is. Strike one.
However, I persevered. A little taste problem was not going to stand in the way of having pain free hands again. Every day for a week, I drank a bottle as prescribed. (I also eliminated orange juice and coffee from my diet, as recommended). After a week, no real difference! After all, the infomercial says you should notice a difference within a week!. Why was it not working? I called and was told to be patient, for some it takes longer. I forced myself to drink it for another week--same thing, no results. I was beginning to feel that I had been taken advantage of. After all, it WAS a "middle of the night infomercial", right?
I decided to give it one more week. I drank it faithfully every morning till day 24. I couldn't believe I was giving up my delicious glass of orange juice for this, but I really am tired of having my hands hurt, expecailly on damp days. No luck, Supple just does not work.
I decided to go on the web, to see what other people were saying about Supple. I found THIS REVIEW. It's a real eye opener. So I decided to call the company and request the proverbial refund. After all, it has a guarantee, right? Well, the guarantee has some pretty big loopholes. First of all, they only refund for the unused portion, so I am only getting 1/2 of my money back. (I ordered a 48 day supply). Of course, I have to ship it back. These bottle packs are heavy and my UPS driver informs me that it will cost me nearly $20 to ship it back. I call the company to tell them that I think their "unconditional guarantee" means I will be left with basically no cash back at all. Of course, there is NOTHING they can do about it, it's all in the fine print.
So now, I decide to check to see if others have this problem. I check the Ripoff Report. Nothing there, but of course not, the company is new. So I try the online Better Business Bureau and type in Supple Beverages in their Search Bar. Bingo, another real eye opener. Their rating is C-, with over 18 recent complaints. Lots of people in my boat, it seems, and that's just the ones who followed thru to file a formal complaint..
The moral of the story? I guess it would be NOT to fall for all those "too good to be true" infomercials. I'm out over $130. I wish I had fallen asleep.
There is a more or less happy ending to the story, however. After reading I tried Flexcin. This time I did a lot of research instead of making an impulsive decision, and it paid off. It's got something called CM8 in it. It took awhile (about 6 weeks) but my hand pain is gone!. I am so thrilled to be able to do simple things again without pain, like tie my shoes, and grip a brush to fix my hair. They did not promise miracles, but did promise results, and results I got.
Beware of Supple and make your choice based on research instead of SHAMWOW!

This is just another ripoff in the "land of the scheme"
I fell for this informercial, hoping I would have at least Good Results. However, aftr about 10 days, no measurable difference, I still had sever knee pain, so much so, that I went to my orthopedic for a cortisone shot. Now, I feel much better, and the price is too expensive. You can find the same ingredients in other joint juices at Walmart . Buy a Good Glucosamine/Chondrotin and mix it with a Good Liquid Vitamin, and pay less. Tell that
BBB has an A- rating for this company at this time. 25 complaints; not a very high resolve rate. Flexcin also has an A- rating but has 0 complaints and has been in business much longer. I think I would go with the Flexin based on that alone if I could not find something equal at the local health food store.
Here it is the facts about any joint supplements based on several of the clinical trials. It takes at least 90days to see any results for these products, and there is no such thing as a one-grade of glucosamine, chondroitant,so it is what it is. You get the same results from any known over-the-counter name brand. It does work, it just takes time, and note that if you stop taking it, the gain from the use of it wont just disappear, but that normal loss from ware and tear will resume. The things is that you don't have to spend a fortune like this supple product costs, buy at any reputable store, and save the unnecessary inflated costs. Though I recommend that shopping at a Health Food Store which staff Nutrisionists would be the best place to start.
I tried Supple unsuccessfully and had problems trying to get a refund. I checked their BBB Rating and see they have now withdrawn from the BBB and their rating was taken down completely. Wished I had seen this first and checked it out first. Not sure what my next step will be, but others should open their eyes before Supple gets your money.
I just saw the infomercial, sounds too good to be true. I wish it worked!

After using Supple for 10 days, each day became more painful.I developed shoulder, arm and finger joint and muscle pain. I now have to see a rheumatologist and have been treated 8 weeks and still no relief. This product is JUNK!
Beware of Supple Beverages LLC; Not only did this company rip me off, they lied to me in order to sell their products. I placed an order with this company. After 30 minutes I decided to call the Supple Company to cancel the order. When I called them, they stated that I have to wait for 24 Hours before I can cancel the order. After 18 hours, I called them again; they stated that the order already shipped.
Peter Apatow who is the CEO of this company has absolutly no background in Medicine or Health. He is a Venture Capatilist who is out to get your money and nothing else. You will get better results talking to someone in the Homeopathic field and getting good results rather than relying on claims from people who may not be what they claim they are.
I would really like to try supple and see if it will work for me. Seeing all these comments have me a little scared. I have osteoporosis, in my hip joint (between femur and pelvic girdle. I need serius help.
All the comments that say Supple is great sound like they work for the company and sounds like they are trying to sell you more.
All the honest sounding ads say the stuff tastes like crap, but those that sound like they are trying to sell it say it tastes great.

I saw this commercial and the fact that it airs at 1am is a sign that its a bunch of crap. My mom has fibromialgia and I decided to look up the product. I also read the comments above and I totally agree with ThirdRail. The ones that say its awesome seem to all been one after the other and around the same time. I think they work for the company too. Also did you all notice that the "M.D." keeps messing up when she is reading her scripts? ha! I am a little suprised that this doctor would put her reputation on the line for a product that claims it can cure all pain.. Her hospital reviews seem to range from average to good so I wonder why she would do this infomercial....Money?

What I find funny, is that the owner on the informercial says that HA (Hyaluronic Acid) doesn't work...... Apparently what he doesn't know is that your body breaks glucosamine down to HA in order to use it.......
clad i read this first, been ripped off before. there ought to be a law. they should prove it works, before they can sell it. that doctor should be ashamed of herself.

After listening to this sales pitch it made their product sound better than sliced bread. I am very pleased with myself that I have read all of these reviews. This SUPPLE sales program sounds exactly like a text book snake oil pitch.

Seems that this stuff is crap. My wife suffers from AO and the prescription medinicine she takes makes her sick and weak. Any suggestions from all as to something that works???

Iam so glad i found these comments from people who have tried Supple. I too saw this show where this man made me feel that this was just what i needed and to back him up was a doctor .Surely she would not put her name on something that didnt have proven results i thought. Luckily my good sense kicked in and i realized that all doctors would be promoting such a miracle cure if the results were this good. How are people allowed to make such claims in the middle of the night when the only reason were awake is because of our pains . What a way to take advantage of people .It borders on criminal.

I have been on glucosamine and chroindoitin for 18 years and will continue taking it. This certainly has helped me. I have a team of doctors trying to help with no changes. I've decided not to buy this stuff after all - too many examples of the same ole "snake oil" stuff. I DO take suboxin for pain and it's the only relief I've had. Wish the diseases (Anklyosing spondilitis, fibromyalgia & osteoarthritis to name a few - there's more) would take a break and would do anything that worked but don't think this does. Too many people take advantage of those of us that would pay or do anything that would work - we do get a bit desperate about it. Alas, my doctor would do ANYTHING to assist her and myself and this is not one of the topics we discuss.

Called up Supple company, boy what a high pressure sales pitch, it was scary, made me very suspicious, so I went in and pulled up the website and then the user comments, no way will I buy this product. Run from a supple saleman.

glucosamine is the main ingredient and if you never had it before, any brand could possibly help.
If you pain on a scale of 1 to 10 is a ten, this product will drop it down to a 5 or 6
did anyone think to report the MD to the AMA. She is endorsing this product with her medical degree and knowledge.......she seems to be guilty of quackary as well.
i love watching the infomercial just to laugh at that peter for his lame "real life stories" and the doctor for putting her name on the line. believe it or not, i actually like watching the commercial but ill never buy the product
Glad I came to this site. I have RA and fibromyalga for 35 years. I have gone thru a lot of meds, and "junk". Still have a lot of pain, but I can still walk. I am relunctate to try anything any more.

What was a flag for me was the automatic refilling,or rebilling.Stay away from outfits who do this .Many times it's hard to quit.Best way to handle outfits who do the auto is give your credit or debit card number.Then maybe a week later report the debit or credit card lost.Now no one can bill that card.So your covered .
I myself found that "Flexcerin "$39.97 for a month supply is a MUCH better product.
But remember there is NO cure for your arthritis as claimed by Supple.

Thank you all with everything I've read took away the urge to buy Supple first thing I will not give credit card or debit card for theft of me is so good that if the product does not lead to walmart, Walgreens or kmart to sell, as with other product! clear to rob people in their cards and maybe cheating in my country spend all day giving television commercial and is as tempting as it falls to the more ready. Steve you are right I saw ELATIONS sell it at Walgreens, Kmart, GMG and is super cheap and has the same amount of chondroitin and gluclosamina that Supple and is super cheap package of six bottles worth $ 8.99 an affordable price for all and sell it in stores .

The only thing I give in my country is the ad as misleading by the despair my mother bought the product and has now been four weeks and has found the result was that the money lost in vain she can not stop the bed the strong pain he feels and has all the joints rigid truth is that it was a shame she had to buy that many hopes but no result was a fraud.
I saw the informercial and am thinking about trying but all this negativity gave me pause until I mentioned I was going to try it to my niece. She said "I've heard of that my granddad uses it". I asked if it works for him and she said yes. I know everything doesn't work for everyone. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and take neproxen. Neproxen works well for my friend but not for me and we take the same dose. So I say nothing beats a failure but a try. But because of this I will buy less the first time around so I won't need to get a refund. I'll buy a 24 day supply and if it doesn't work in a week I will send it back and I won't let them tell me to wait another week because to me if you see no result at all in 7 days it's not gonna work in 14. I'll let you know how it works for me.

My husband tried it, and it did not help at all, and now they shipped more, but instead of sending it through the USPS, [because I told them I'm refusing it] they shipped it via UPS. Well I'm expecting UPS to pick it up today, never having opened it, and not being at home when they dropped it off. I am expecting a full credit on my card, but I hear that their 100% Guarantee isn't worth the paper it was printed on. IT'S a RIP OFF!!!!!!

I just want to thank EVERYone for all of your helpful comments on this product. I fell asleep on the sofa last night, only to wake to the infomercial. It was like music to my ears listening to exactly what I need. I'm bone-on-bone on both knees but the right one is giving me fits, keeping me awake at night to where sometimes I think I'm going to just lose it. There is a lot of swelling ABOVE the knee and hamstring muscle spasms, in reaction to the pain of the 'physical abnormality' as my PT put it, is what is getting to me.
After reading, I'm spared the waste of time and money, so I extend my gratitude to all of you and will try the flexcerin, magnets and other suggestions!!

I myself have psoriactic arthritis, I personally use the new product Elations, which by the way does taste very good. They have 3 flavors. Most people don't know that there are 7 different types of arthritis, and general arthritis can be helped with glucosamine and chondroitin, if taken on a regular basis. I have had real good improvement, but it isn't gone completely. Most people get the idea from infomercials that they will be completely cured. Well, that ain't gona happened! There is alot more to it than that, like exercise! regularly. By the way Elations is a lot cheaper too. Talk with your Dr. before you try anything!

Well I did and of course the website is beautifully done, I was really impressed. Then I saw the price of the product, so I decided to look into it a little deeper. I found this article and saw these comments and I am so glad that I did. If I just went off the website I would be broke! Thanks you guys!
I could not agree more. This is a Scam Company. The drink tastes disgusting, made me sick to my stomach and did NOTHING for my knee pain. I am going to make formal complaints to several agencies. If we all do this, the thieves will be out of business
I hearing all this stuff, but I think people are going about it in the wrong way. I would recumbent you get a vita mix. Start making fruit drinks with whole natural fruits. I use the seeded grapes when making my drinks. Scientist have discovered that grape seeds reverses arthritis and cancer, but you won't hear about that on the news. Recently, I have been experiencing a lot of joint pain from my right joint connecting my upper right thigh to the right side of my buttocks area and have gone back and forth to my Doctors only for them prescribing to me prescriptions that don't work or at best only slightly working to get rid of the at times, excruciating pain until I found an Ad for one of the supplements containing Glucosamin Sulfate and Chondrotin. Since I have been taking this supplement it has accomplished a whole lot more than any of the prescriptions I was given before by getting rid of most of my pain. Supple sounds to me, too good to be true and for any one considering in purchasing it better think twice before they lose their hard earned money.
I tried Supple for two weeks and it didn't help the stiffens in my knees. When I asked for a refund they tried to convince me to keep taking it. Then I realized that they were trying to get me to use the rest of my supply. Also, they won't pay for shipping, so when you do the math the money back guaranty is useless.
In my opinion, Supple is not a company to do business with.

On the Supple website, the CEO says try it for 30 days and drink every can...if you don't love the taste, if you don't feel better week after week, blah, blah...I will give you your money back. Sounds like deliberate deception to me.
Thanks for the review. I was watching the "interview" on t.v. just now thinking, "hmmm! How come he isn't telling me what's IN IT?" Well, I've found the answer to the problems I have (inflammation, pain, etc.) in a product called Wobenzym N. Actually, I'm using not only that (which is a proteolytic enzyme that targets inflammation on an empty stomach), but also digestive enzymes every single time I eat to help digest the food so it won't BECOME inflammation later. Right now I'm using a couple different brands to see which one I like best.... one from Swanson called Bio Core and one from Garden of Life called Omega Zyme. I hope this helps someone else out there. I've been sick for about 20 years and never EVER thought digestion was the first thing that is necessary to look at. Have a blessed day :)
I tired Supple and it did not work at all. After about 2 weeks I started getting impatient and called the company asking about a refund. They instructed me to use the rest and give it a longer try, so I agreed. There were still no results, so I just figured I would chalk it up to experience, when ANOTHER ORDER SHOWED UP AT MY DOORSTEP. I was furious and called them. They said they ship automatically. I told them I don't want it and they said they would cancel my NEXT order, but I would have to pay for the one I just got.
This company is just after your money with NO concern for your satisfaction at all.
I guess I should have known when I found them on TV in the middle of the night with all the other scammers.

I was going to try supple even with everybodys comments, but when told how hard it was to get a refund if it didn't work for me, was not going to take a chance. This company does seem to be a scam. They even lie to you when you do want your refund.
Scammers. Kept on sending supplies and charging my card inspite of many calls to stop. had to close my credit card account on order to stop the shipments.

I have Fibromyalgia and have "fallen" for many many juice & pill "cures" before - I am SO GLAD you've all written in to save the rest of us from wasting our money --- so I say, "No Thanks, Supple!"
My dad began supple a month ago. He has since finished one case of it. After about two weeks he said he physically felt better, however my family noticed a change in his behavior. He has been on other medication from a recent surgery and mixing the supple with it. He is now having mental problems and is not himself. Very extreme behavioral changes such as financial spending and intrests in god. He is now in mental health facility and dr.s are saying it is from him mixing his medicines, that his dr. did not prescribe. This supple might work for some with joints and such but please don't mix with any other drugs you are taking. This is not FDA approved, and I would hate to see another family go through what we are experiencing now. I just want my dad back and hate these companies that really dont have all the answers to side effects. NOT WORTH THE RISK!!!!!!!!
First of all...I am not employed or receive any money from the Supple Company...I paid my 140 bucks for a order...I have to say that while this may not work for all of you it did work for me...I had knee and hip pain. The product was hard to get used to the taste as it was very sweet but in order for me to drink it I had to dilute it with water and drank the whole can (which is small) anyway I drank all of the order and I felt good. BUT I have to say this...the expense was just too much for me so I had to stop taking it after 1 full order. I am going to try flex-a-min as I have been told that it is the same thing in tablet form and much cheaper. I just think a lot of people are different and each persons body handles things differently it worked for me but I cannot afford it. As for the companys practices well they are not very reputable if they do not stand by their product and the return policy. There should be no fine print. Just honesty.

I just saw this pitch for Supple tonight during prime time TV. Glad I checked this out before trying it for osteo-arthritis in my knees.
I will not buy Supple and will keep on doing what I'm doing. I am even trying the gin-soaked raisins. Not sure if it works, but cannot hurt...and what a great conversation piece! Lots of funny comments.

I'm glad I read the listed reviews about Supple. It makes you think a little on the truth and the validity of the information commercials on tv now a days. I would just go to your local health food store. A good health food store would have people there that are up on the latest products available for joint pain.

I left my comments here several months ago and wanted to report back that I have been taking Flexcin for 5 months now and it is terrific. I ordered it online at www.flexcin.com. No hassle, quick delivery, but it DID take several weeks to "kick in" and I almost gave up on Flexcin, too...but once it DID "kick in" my pains slowly but surely evaporated.
It has been a godsend, actually. Some of you disappointed Supple people might want to give it a try, too. If not, good luck with whatever avenues you follow.
While watching the infomercial, I became very skeptical of Apatow's claims for the product based on a simple impression: his poor pronunciation. He stumbled over several scientific terms and even a few ordinary words, like "chondroitin." You can actually tell quite a lot about a person from speech mannerisms.
I've been looking for something to releive my wrist and knuckle pain for about a year. The Supple beverage sounded to good to be true. Glad I read these reviews and talked to my physician before purchasing. My doctor said that there is nothing on the market that can cure ant of these joint inflamations. He said if there was something on the market every doctor in the world know about it and it would be advetised in every magazine on the stand. Some day there may be.
I started using Supple two years ago, and all I can tell you is that it worked in my case. My right hand became very weak and I lost some muscle tone between my thumb and forefinger. The pain was very pronounced. I was tested for RA, etc. but came back negative. Arthritis runs in family and I know the symptoms very well. It took a little over two weeks before I could tell the difference while on Supple. Not only did my right hand regain strength and flexibility, and it seemed to have repaired the physical, handicapped look. I stopped using Supple for awhile because of cost and I would get diarrhea from it. I still drink it when I have pain and for maintenance. I find that yoga is also very good for this ailment. I don't agree with the autoship and wish they would offer to sell the product on an a la carte basis.
Recently saw infomercial, was tempted to call. Was wary because no price was shown. After reading all comments will not order. At one time, I was truly having head to toe severe pain from Rheumatoid Arthritis. Started taking water aerobic classes and they have helped immensely. It is possible that Supple actually works for some, but Prayer is probably the only thing that works the same for everybody. Bless you all!!!
I was watching the Supple commercial tonight wondering if it really worked and found your article and decided that I was not willing to pay a lot of money for something that might or might not work, I will stick to my GBG supplement drink that does taste good ( like orange juice) and does work, and probably is a lot cheaper. Just for your info: If you put the above 100 comments on a spread sheet and seperate them into those that used the product and those that did not use it but commented the results are as follows. 38 actually used the product and made a positive or negative response and 72 had not used the product but made a comment about avoiding it, internet scammers, BBB, or other products to use or try. Of the 38 that actually used the product 15 made positive comments that stated the product worked or helped and 13 made actual negative comments that the product did not work for them. Draw your own conclusions!

Not only did Good Ole Richard J miscount the number of total comments, he obviously miscounted when he said there were 15 positive comments. I didn't take the time to count exactly, but I don't think there are more than 3... I don't think it's Supple he's drinking. Must be the Kool Aid!
On the infomercial, You have a CEO of a beverage company with no medical experience, providing more useful medical information than the supposed doctor. That should tell you to beware. The clock counting down on the upper left hand corner of the screen should raise another red flag. Its meant to snare impulsive buyers. Just because the clock runs out, doesn't mean you still can't buy the product at a discounted rate. The last red flag is the bad acting. Their conversation was obviously rehearsed.
My wife has a painful knee. Supple sounded promising and I urged her to give it a try. Luckily she was skeptical. After reading the reviews and the leaks in their "money back" guarantee, plus the disatisfaction of so many who tried it, we will pass on "supple."

I tried Supple for over two weeks for my knees and it just did not work at all. The drink taste fine but I did not buy it for the taste. My knees still are stiff and they still hurt. It might for some people but it did not work for me
Well I must say I have a hard time believing it. I used to work closely with Peter. He worked for me. Believe it or not he was a soft spoken accountant working for the then Price Waterhouse in the Hartford, Ct office. He was at the top of his class too. He was also extremely religious (7th Day Adventist, I believe). One day a few years ago, I clicked on the TV and see him sitting there selling snake oil. I couldn't believe it. I watched the program several times intently. I know he is full of it because during the period that he claims to have had so much of his own pain, I used to regularly walk 18 holes of golf with him. He never once complained about any such pain. I hope the product works, but know that his own personal claims are bogus.

Just saw the infomercial today. Called the 800 number given and after holding for 10-15 min was given a "high pressure" sales pitch. I finally had to hang-up on her as she would not accept "let me think about it and call back." My husband suggested I see if there were any posted complaints and found this website. Looks like I saved myself a real headache! Thanks.

Just saw infomercial for "Supple". Was going to order some, but glad I decided to research it before hand. I have decided that I will stick to my orthopedist for my arthritis & bone issues. I know for a fact that even though cortizone injections are quite painful for 3 days, but they really do work. I will take a cortizone shot over a rip-off any day.
I wrote a review several months ago. I said that Supple worked for me and it worked for my father. My testimonial isn't on here anymore. Why not!? They removed it, thats why. Remember that this product will not work for everyone. I think you should try it first before writing a review. I use cimzia for joint pain and it works well for me, i know people who have used it and did not get the same result. There is no harm in trying, after all, its just a drink it won't kill

Well, now that I see there is a 74% dislike rating out of approx 1400 users, I will not waste my time or money. It sounds like to me you are trying to promote Flexcin and down Supple I have not tryed eather one but I do know every one is driffrent and what works for one will not always work for another, there for the product gets a bad name.I used a product called protandim and Itruly beleave in it but after a while the Tumeric in it I found out caused my gulblader to act up which was a good thing because I found out I had gulstons.So like every thing not all of us can not take the same products and get the same results. There is a product sold by Costco that probably has the same ingredients in it as Supple and comes in a one month supply that costs $18.00. I have used this and it helps a little but I don't think there is any magic bullet out there. MSM has help me the most and I have to take about 4,000 mg with vitamin C.
being in pain, 24/7 is no fun. It affects every aspect of my life. There are so many people in pain these days. After seeing the infomercial I was ready to place an order, but......every one of these reviews helped give me a better insight into this companys business practices. I saw the infomercial and decided to try Supple since the arthritis in my right knee was keeping me from walking completely. I had to stay out of work for two weeks because I could not walk. This was horrible...I called and ordered Supple. It came within a week and I began drinking a can every morning. After only two weeks, I could move my right leg without picking it up with my hand..After four weeks I could, once again get up and walk without my cane or holding on to the furniture. Supple works for my husband who has chronic knee pain after a h.s football injury/surgery. Supple did not help at all!!! In fact, it made every muscle in my body ache so that I could not evenmove from pain.The pain was paralyzing. I thought I would have a heart attack. I initially ordered it more as a preventative and did not have joint pain. It was AWFUL!!! When I called in after using it two weeks, they said to hold off returning the remaining bottles until I could see what happens when I stop taking the drink. I waited two more weeks and was finally getting a little better. When I called back to return the drink, they said my warranty expired! What a rip off!!!!
